Available Workshops

  • Experimental Gilding
    Experimental Gilding

This course will introduce a range of gilding media - real metal leaf, metallic powders, metallic transfer foil and their application techniques. Develop patterns and designs which can be layered, cut, or used as abstract backgrounds, and experiment with colouring, distressing and texturing metallic surfaces. Layer combinations of media on both flat and raised surfaces, and build up a collection of samples which will provide starting points for future use, further embellishment and / or use in celebratory projects.
